IS THERE A SET CURRICULUM WE MUST FOLLOW?

No. There are many options available to you as a parent and your child's teacher. Facilitators can help you in your selection but we want to support you in gearing the program to your individual child.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME WHEN THE FACILITATOR VISITS?

As homeschooling parents ourselves one of our priorities is to support you and to be a resource person for you. We will be available to you throughout the year as well as doing the home visits in the fall and spring. At this time we will view your students work, record your child's progress, and record the methods of instruction which you have been using. We will also answer any questions, provide testing if necessary and help with curriculum choices.

WHAT ABOUT MATERIALS I HAVE PURCHASED WITH MY FUNDING?

We do not ask for materials to be returned at the end of the year, but we encourage you that when you are finished with them to loan them to others or give them to our Homeschool Resource Library where they can be shared with others.

IF I REGISTER WITH FAMILIES LEARNING TOGETHER WHAT KIND OF SUPPORT IS THERE FOR ME?

Families Learning Together is a willing nonresident board, but in some ways it also functions as a support group. We encourage networking among other homeschool families through our newsletters, Craft and Gym days, fieldtrips and parent workshop opportunities.
