Band News

Our second 10 week band session started on Wednesday, February 4^th and we are having a great time enjoying making music together as we meet at Balmoral Bible Chapel once again!

Following are the band times:

Recorder Band from 12 noon til 1 p.m.  Beginner  band will be from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.  Intermediate band will be from 1 – 2 p.m. and senior band will be from 2 – 3:30 p.m.  So please note that the only time change is for the recorder band which will start a half hour early to give them a full hour which they will be ready for now that they know more notes!  Beginner band members with siblings in the recorder band are welcome to come and practice together before band starts .

We do appreciate all band members arriving approx. 10 mins before band so that you can get settled in and set up with your instrument so we can have all the time we can get together!  The cost again is $25 per child for this second session. 

Band Concerts

Wednesday, April 15^th , we are planning to have performances in three different places.  The first one will take place at the Golden Circle and they are back in their facility by the downtown Rec. Centre.   We will plan to meet there at 11:40 a.m. and play at their noon lunch.  This concert will be only for the Senior band members.  The next two places will include beginner and senior bands and here is the information for them:

2 p.m. at the Red Deer Nursing Home (meet at 1:45) and 3:30 p.m. at Victoria Park (meet at 3:15).

The Senior band will also be playing at the AHEA Convention on Friday morning, April 17^th.
